February issue online and in the mail

This issue looks at collaboration between hospitals, with a main story about improving transfers and an inside feature about providing palliative care at rural facilities.

The latest issue of ACP Hospitalist is now available. Our main story covers the benefits and challenges of transferring patients between hospitals, with some experts offering their advice on smoothing this process. A feature article looks at how telemedicine is allowing more rural patients to receive palliative care. This issue also includes conference coverage from the American Heart Association, about postoperative myocardial infarction, and an Expert Analysis, about interpreting cardiac troponin levels in patients with chronic kidney disease and suspected acute coronary syndrome. A related Test Yourself section features questions about chest pain from MKSAP 18. This month's Success Story and Newman's Notions both focus on hospital conference rooms, but with very different results.
