Study finds no mortality benefit of anti-MRSA therapy for inpatients with pneumonia
Empirical therapy covering methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) was associated with an increased risk of 30-day mortality compared to standard antibiotics in veterans hospitalized with pneumonia, including those with clinical risk factors for MRSA.
