Longer venous thromboprophylaxis after total hip replacement decreases events, ups minor bleeding risk
Venous thromboprophylaxis for 21 days or more after total hip replacement lowers risk for venous thromboembolism, pulmonary embolism and deep venous thrombosis while increasing the risk for minor bleeding, according to a new study.
