Immediate catheter drainage not superior to delayed in infected necrotizing pancreatitis

Early tube feeding didn't reduce infections, mortality in severe pancreatitis
Feeding patients with acute pancreatitis through a nasojejunal tube within 24 hours of diagnosis did not improve outcomes compared with starting oral intake after 72 hours with nasojejunal feeding only if they failed to tolerate oral intake, a new Dutch study found.
