For PE in critically ill, half-dose alteplase associated with more treatment escalation than full dose

1 in 5 inpatient antibiotic regimens results in adverse drug event
Researchers also looked at whether the prescribed antibiotics were clinically indicated and found that 19% of them were not, most commonly due to treatment of asymptomatic bacteriuria or noninfectious lower respiratory tract conditions.
